Winning made the Eagles’ offense tolerable, but losing highlighted just how out of sync some of the most talented players in the NFL have been through five games. According to Jimmy Kempski, three of the team’s captains — Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and Saquon Barkley — finally had a long (overdue) sit down.
Things between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown have changed over the years, but it started to affect their productivity, which, fortunately, is a big enough driver for both guys to want to improve the situation. Their friendship had always been rooted in their dedication to the game and the respect they had for each other’s work habits and commitment. Hurts and Brown still have those same character traits, and will do anything they can to win.
Hopefully this meeting of the minds will help change the offensive vibes, because the Eagles need all three of those guys on the same page if they want to accomplish their goals this season.
