On Monday, the Indianapolis Colts worked out cornerbacks Lewis Cine and Kendall Fuller to potentially bolster the depth of an increasingly depleted secondary (via KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson):
At cornerback, having already lost rookie Justin Walley for the season and placed Jaylon Jones on injured reserve to begin the 2025 campaign, the Colts have since seen veteran fill-in Xavien Howard abruptly retire, starting slot Kenny Moore II declared out with an Achilles injury the past two weeks, and Mike Hilton suffer a shoulder injury last weekend—whose health status remains unknown publicly going forward.
Originally a 2016 3rd round pick of Washington, the 30-year-old Fuller has also played with the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins organizations, appearing in 128 career games (104 starts). He most recently made 11 starts for the Dolphins last season, recording 50 tackles (37 solo), 7 passes defensed and a fumble recovery.
Per PFF, Fuller earned a +66.2 overall grade last season with the Dolphins. The 5’11”, 198 pound veteran cornerback has experience on both the outside and inside, meaning he could also be a short-term solution at the slot—if Moore II and Hilton remain injured.
At 6’2”, 199 pounds, Cine was originally a 2022 first round pick of the Minnesota Vikings, who has also been with the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings organizations. He’s appeared in 11 career games, making a tackle.
Both Fuller and Cine are former Super Bowl Champions.
The Colts also lost rookie safety Hunter Wohler for the season, who suffered an offseason Lisfranc injury.
