New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll offered no information Monday morning on the availability of wide receiver Darius Slayton or running back Tyrone Tracy for Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Slayton left Sunday’s loss to the New Orleans Saints in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury. Despite having had a rough game vs. the Saints, the seven-year veteran is a key player for Giants on offense. Without Slayton and the out for the season Malik Nabers, the Giants were using Jalin Hyatt and Beaux Collins at wide receiver in the final moments against New Orleans.
Tracy, who dislocated his shoulder Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs, has not played in the last two games. He did, however, practice on Friday.
Tracy was the Giants’ starting running back before injured. Rookie Cam Skattebo leads the Giants with 240 rushing yards, but is averaging only 3.8 yards per carry. The 1-4 Giants need all the play-makers they can get. Tracy averaged 4.4 yards per carry in 2024, gained a team-best 839 rushing yards and had 1,123 total yards of offense. His presence would be a boost.
