These are some of the best player prop bets to target in Week 5 for the 2025 NFL season.

RB Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints: Over 55.5 rushing yards (-120)

The Saints have quietly been a lot more effective on the ground than one might think, maintaining the fifth-highest team PFF rushing grade (77.9) in the NFL. While game scripts have generally prevented them from unleashing the running game on opponents, they are keen on establishing the run when the game is close. When trailing by three points or fewer, New Orleans holds a top-12 run-play rate (45.5%).

This week’s matchup with the Giants may pose an opportunity for the Saints to unleash their running game, facing a defense that has struggled to contain running backs. New York ranks near or at the bottom of the NFL in a variety of ground-game metrics, including EPA per rush allowed (32nd), yards per carry allowed (31st) and explosive run-play rate (30th). In turn, that has resulted in a back eclipsing 80 yards on the ground in three of their past four games, including Omarion Hampton’s outburst that racked up 10.7 yards per carry.

Although Kendre Miller has begun to see increased volume, Kamara still possesses the ability to generate explosive runs, with his seven rushes of 10 or more yards this season tying for the 11th most in the NFL. Given the matchup, there should be plenty of work to go around for both Kamara and Miller.

TE Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders: Under 40.5 receiving yards (-120)

The absences of wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown, in addition to a banged-up Deebo Samuel, have pushed Ertz’s receiving line to its highest point all season. While the current circumstances may point to heavy usage for the veteran tight end, that wasn’t the case this past week under similar conditions against the Falcons, in which Ertz totaled just 21 yards — his third instance going under this mark this season.

This matchup with a strong Chargers coverage unit will pose issues for Ertz, as he will draw plenty of attention from Derwin James. The Chargers’ versatile coverage weapon owns an 89.8 PFF coverage grade on targets to tight ends, surrendering just 3.2 yards per coverage target and a 65.4 passer rating into his coverage on those plays.
