Once again, it’s time for everyone to get those fours up above their heads, as we’re heading to the final quarter of play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London with your Minnesota Vikings trailing the Cleveland Browns by a score of 17-14.
The Vikings got the ball coming out of the locker room at halftime after deferring on the opening coin toss, and they did so with Carson Wentz at the helm after he was deemed as “questionable” to return after sustaining an injury to his non-throwing shoulder late in the second quarter. Aided by a pass interference penalty from the Browns that negated a third-down stop, the Vikings marched down the field and eventually found themselves in the end zone on a 3-yard run by Jordan Mason to take the lead back at 14-10 less than four minutes into the third quarter.
Unfortunately, the Vikings’ defense got gashed on the ensuing Browns possession, as Cleveland marched down the field and, after converting on another fourth down play, got into the end zone on a 9-yard touchdown pass from Dillon Gabriel to David Njoku to take the lead back at 17-14 with just over three minutes left in the third quarter.
The Vikings went three-and-out on the ensuing drive, but Ryan Wright launched an absolute bomb of a punt that went 77 yards and was downed by the Vikings at the Cleveland 2-yard line. As we move to the fourth quarter, the Browns are looking at a 3rd-and-1 from their own 1o-yard line.
Can the Vikings come back from Europe with at least one win? It will take some heroics to make it happen, as they currently trail the Cleveland Browns 17-14 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium heading into the fourth quarter of play. Come join us for the rest of this one!
