Ja’Marr Chase wants ‘more fire and anger’ from Bengals locker room
Mike Petaglia of CLNS Media captured a chunk of Chase’s comments: “I want guys to play with passion. I want them to play with anger because you never know how guys may respond. I told my guys that recently, after the game, I just want them to play a little more fire and anger.”
But he’s making people notice. PFF says the third-rounder from Georgia is having a better year than Colts All-Pro Quenton Nelson, Browns Pro Bowler Wyatt Teller, and Alex Cappa, last year’s Bengals’ starting right guard.

“They’re going to come in here and try to bully us,” said Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson after Thursday’s practice. “They’re going to try and run the ball down our throat. We understand that. We’ve got to find a way to stop the run and put them in third-and-long. Get some TFLs so it’s not even second-and-seven, but second-and-10.”

“I’m optimistic right now that we put together a really good plan. I’m excited to get to work, practice today,” he added. “We’re all accountable that three points isn’t good enough, ten points isn’t good enough. Our expectation is that we have to score a lot to take pressure off our defense, put pressure on the opponent. We have not done that the last two weeks in particular. And it really starts with me on offense, getting those guys in a rhythm, create some momentum, so our defense isn’t out there all day.”
