We also like the risk on a Denzel Ward interception.
The Cleveland Browns are at home against the New York Giants in Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season this Sunday, September 22, at 1:00 pm ET. The Browns are 6.5-point favorites against the Giants, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Here are my favorite player prop bets from the Browns’ perspective in Week 3.
Giants vs. Browns: Best NFL player prop bets
Amari Cooper Over 49.5 Yards Receiving (-113)
The Giants haven’t allowed a 100+ yard receiver through two weeks, but three players would have reached the over on this mark of getting 50+ yards. Amari Cooper has had a disastrous first two weeks, but I have to believe an emphasis will be made to get the ball in his hands. Getting open hasn’t been an issue.
Jerome Ford Over 48.5 Yards Rushing (-113)
The Giants’ run defense has been among the worst in the NFL, nearly allowing a 100 yard rusher in each of the first two weeks. Even though D’Onta Foreman’s introduction last week to the Browns’ offense gives some fantasy complications to the Browns’ backfield, I like Ford to pop a big run against the defense.
Denzel Ward to Record an Interception (+600)
Denzel Ward has just barely missed an interception in two straight games due to his tight defense, and that included the fact that he barely even played last week. Hopefully, Cleveland doesn’t have to limit his reps again this week. He could be up against rookie WR Malik Nabers, who is getting a high volume of targets. Jones doesn’t tend to throw a ton of interceptions, but that’s also because he historically doesn’t throw a lot. He did, however, have two picks in Week 1, so at +600, it’s a good gamble to see if Ward can snag a pick this week.
