Your Dolphins @ Seahawks Predictions and Players You Would Steal

With our Miami Dolphins playing their first away game of the 2024 NFL season tomorrow, I asked the customary weekly questions about our upcoming opponent, the Seattle Seahawks. Below are the questions with some of your answers-

If you could steal any player from the Seattle Seahawks roster to place on the Miami Dolphins roster, which player would it be and why?

JonnyNapalm just wants their trio of CBs.

The correct answer is Woolen and Witherspoon with an honorable mention to Tre Brown. All three Seahawks CBs are as shutdown as exists in the NFL.

Alpha6 agrees with Napalm, at least on one of the CBs.

Tariq Woolen, dude is young and shuts them down at corner. Gives the D-line on Miami’s team one more second… or two and bam! The sacks on QB’s chins goes up!

TheRoo1 wants some offensive line and another QB…

A guard. A center, a tackle, and a QB. In that order. Because without the first three, the fourth won’t matter.

sundevil11 says, give me a guy on each side of the ball.

Jaxon Smith-Njiba Slot WR and Deon Witherspoon, Slot CB

USMCFinzFreak wants their backup QB.

Sam Howell.

21Dave wants a hell of a lot of depth at WR.

Locket, Metcalf and Jones. Why Jones is OL and Miami’s theory is you can never have enough WRs. Just a few years back was the same motto for DBs.

sdphinsfan was thinking along the same lines as Dave.

I freely admit to my KSTATE bias. I like DK Metcalf, but give me Tyler Lockett….

phinsomniac is another that’s on board with Woolen.

Tariq Woolen, young shutdown corner.

FinscallyIrresponsible is already out on Poyer. (Diggs is not a Seahawk)

Quandre Diggs. Pro Bowl S to replace the washed up Poyer.

EzDz73 says I’ll take a Geno!

In our current situation, I’ll take Geno Smith.

herbert pollack seconds that.

sad times when the answer is geno smith

phinette is another that would take Geno, anybody that can actually play LG, and, of course, the beast that is Metcalf.

Geno, a LG, and DK Metcalf.

What will be the final score in this week’s Miami Dolphins game against the Seattle Seahawks?

sineblue is predicting a second loss in a row and has some advice for McDaniel.

21-13 seahawks… I’d like to see Jonnu Smith used a lot more. In the Buffalo game every time he got the ball, it was 9+ yards or first downs. Mostly all teams will play nickel against us….like buffa hell no did. No bubble screens….instead, drag route the heck out of teams, to set up the long bomb or run. These passes parallel with to the line of scrimmage do not work McDaniel!

dolphinfan1323 sees a blowout coming.

31-10 Seahawks Skyler throws 2 pick 6s. This team is toast the beginning of the end another failed rebuild!

Alley Gator also sees a blowout loss behind an inept offensive attack.

Well we can’t win with the pass, since we did nothing to upgrade at backup QB. And we can’t run, because we did next to nothing to replace our guards and LT, since the annual injury to Armstead had Lamm playing, not Patrick Paul. I’m guessing 24-7 win for Seattle.

Vozzo13 felt it necessary to tell us he was going away. I’m not sure why. Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.

31-6 Seattle. This is my 50th Birthday, and 40th Year of bleeding Dolphin Orange. As a Birthday Gift to myself, I am abandoning them forever, as they have the Fans. Dump Grier. Dump uhhhhh M uhhhhh M. Do not allow Tua to ever step on the field again. Trade Tyreek instantly. Mae a statement by benching Jalen Ramsey. Go public about the cupcake that OBJ is. Hire a Coach. A GM. Draft the burliest Center and Nose Tackle in the Country. Rebuild. Adios Dolphin World — I am done.

21Dave is bringing some positivity to the party.

Thompson 350 in the air and 4 passing TDs. Make shift defense give up 17 points and we win 35-17. Thompson balls out for the rest of the season and become our Brady for the next 20 years.

AussieFin says it will be an ugly Phins win. I’ll take an ugly win over a loss any day of the week and all day on Sunday!

An ugly 19-16 win for the Fins. No touchdowns passing but heaps of running and a interception that seals it.

62Lou wants to see McDaniel step up his game plan and coaching this week.

Its TIME FOR NERD BOY to step up and create a game plan that can WIN…by actually using the tools we have. Hill, Waddle, TE Smith, Achane (less carries( Wright (more carries) and Wilson (more carries) Use Skylar to roll out and RUN a few times. bootlegs with short pass options. MOVE the pocket…run some designed QB runs. Don’t run the ball every dam time its second and 2… Can the NERD actually LEAD this team instead of babying the players ? Remind them they get PAID huge money to do their jobs whether Tua is here or not… I have doubts…2 weeks and 2 poor game plans and no adjustments….

Yarganaught thinks that Miami can maybe get close, but it won’t be enough.

24-17 Seahawks … Usually for another 2-3 games we should give 100%, maybe 120% if the coach is good. I still fear that at the end will not be enough. I would be really disappointed if some players will quit too soon or if McD isnt capable to pump up the team. We will lose ..but if we win things will get interesting.

CleoTorres has already stuck a fork in the Phins…

28-10 SeaChickens. Seasons over boys, pack it up and let’s wait for the next “rebuild”.

wolfpack1 says that the Phins drop this one too.

The Dolphin’s defense got mauled by the Bills, but I don’t think Seatle is the same caliber opponent. Still, they will likely win 20-10.

Lefty55555 says the loss will be by a TD and FG margin. It will also tell us what kind of coach McDaniel really is.

Seattle 27 Fins 17 Waddle and Hill are non-factors and at least one will ot finish the game. TE’s show up and we run it a little better. Our LBs play well but our DBs miss tackles and the D-line generates zero pressure except for Chop who will make a play on Sunday. Skylar will throw one too many out routes in front of Witherspoon. This game will determine if McD is a better coach than Flo. With Flo you could win a game like this with your Defense. Until this team proves me wrong, I am calling them a soft injury prone lot. I would love to be wrong. If The Fins show some real grit then this team has a chance. D Long Jr. and Brooks have grit, Julian Hill and Smythe have grit, Austin Jackson has it and I think Ramsey has it (dinged up) along with Siran Neal, Achane and Ingold. Not sure about anyone else.

AZ9ERFAN85 says this one is winnable, albeit by a slim margin.

SEA is incredibly overrated and not as good as their record suggests as I don’t think anyone has a softer schedule to start the season thus far playing Denver who’s atrocious with Nix at QB who scored 20 on SEA and then SEA needed Overtime to beat the lowly Patriots by just 3 points 23-20. SF and especially AZ has had much harder opponents to start the year and AZ scored well over 30+PPG/AVG to start the season. After this game in WK3 I think SEA crash’s back down to EARTH HARD losing a steady stream of games playing one of the hardest remaining schedules after they leave Miami.

That said with the Defense Miami has if the Dolphins come to play playing elite caliber defense in this one game & very solid defense in this one game punishing Geno behind a terrible OL getting after him with a lot of hits/sacks and hopefully can force a turnover or two. If Miami can play good defense keeping SEA off the board using their run game to control the ball keeping SEAs offense on the sidelines and Skylar Thompson is just a good competent game manager throwing 20 times or less while not turning the ball over maybe throwing for 170YDs/1TD seeing them run for two touchdowns maybe getting an INT they score more points on.

This is a winnable game a very winnable game if they Dolphins can come together as a team and play sound football next week. My money is on Miami winning 21-20 maybe 24-20 if they can score off a pick.

MIAMI235 has a crazy low score, but I would happily take it.

Dolphins win 3-0. Defense steps up and pitches a shutout…..get a chip shot field goal and notch a win! Am I dreaming…lol lol lol

Spok507 sees Miami pulling this one out.

The Seahawks struggled to beat the Broncos and needed overtime to beat the Patriots, so it’s not like they’re a powerhouse team we need to fear. If Skylar can keep the wheels turning, we have a decent chance to come out of this game with a win. Achane should be able to move the ball, but it’ll come down to whether or not Hill and Waddle put in an effort. And hopefully we can get Malik Washington back to do some damage. While we normally have a long injury list, theirs was much longer. While we had Armstead and Campbell listed as DNP (Campbell was just a vet rest day), they had 9 listed including 3 LBs, a safety and a DE, as well as Metcalf. So they look more banged up than us! Yes, we’re playing with a back-up QB, but I like Skylar. He doesn’t scare me that he’s going to do something ‘unwise’ as much as Tua does. So if he plays mistake free-ish, we have a good chance. The defense is getting better, now if the offensive weapons would get their collective crap together and make an Achane type effort, we’d be good. I predict the Fins actually pull this one out 21-13.

sdphinsfan just wants a surprise.

I have more confidence that Thompson will play a decent game than I do any of our playmakers showing up and actually making plays. No reason to think we’ll see a different approach to the game from the coaches. Same ole, same ole….Seattle should win this game. But I really want the Fins to surprise me.

MiMiami has a list-

Who is going to win straight up? Seattle

What is your final score prediction win or lose? 26 – 20

Who do you think will be the star(s) of the game on offense? Patrick Paul has a solid career debut game. Zach Charbonnet, in replacement of the injured Ken Walker, runs all over the Miami defense, a scary trend that follows Tank Bigsby and James Cook.

Who do you think will be the star(s) of the game on defense? Chop Robinson gets 2 sacks. The Seattle D-Line terrorizes Skylar.

What other bold prediction do you have for this week’s game? We start talking about Christian Wilkins, his absence and the debate of whether or not to “pay the man”.

What will you be watching for that no one else seems to be discussing? Miami is actually thinking of flying long distance to play a good team? Without a starting QB? WTH are we doing here, guys?

holland182.0 says that it will be a super close blowout.

I see a close fought game coming down to the wire with the Dolphins squeaking by in a nail biter for the win with a final score of 48 to 3

Pat_Certain has an upset in mind.

If the dolphins do not field a competitive team, and Skylar stinks up the joint, McDaniel should be on the hot seat, as well as Grier. It is a NO BRAINER that an NFL team needs a good backup, especially with an injury prone QB. The dolphins know this, which is why they had Bridgewater, and then got Mike White. Not saying those guys are great, but they each had comprehensive NFL starting experience.

I optimistically predict Skylar having a lot of yards with some great plays by Tyreek, Waddle, Achane, Jonnu Smith and Julian Hill, Jason Sanders, and Braxton Berrios.

27-23 Dolphins upset win in Seattle

Thompson – 21/32 277 yards 2 TD ; 44 rushing yards

Achane – 22 carries 130 yards TD ; 4 rec 60 yards

Hill- 9 catches 149 yards 2 TD

EzDz73 says we are doomed by a TD.

We haven’t scored much in the past few games prior to Tua’s injury, so it’s hard for me to fathom that we will start now. Although it would be nice if the Fins put up a 30 burger on the Seahawks. Mia 17 – Sea 24.

That’s our selection of answers for this week. There are some excellent choices of players to steal…if only… The predictions are all over the place, but that seems fair given the current situation and no one knowing what we will see tomorrow. Thank you to each of you who took the time to answer the question for the day. We will return next Tuesday evening with our next QOTD for the following game.
