The Miami Dolphins host the New York Jets on Monday Night Football as part of a two-game closeout to the NFL’s Week 4 schedule. Both teams are looking to use Monday as a spark to turn around seasons that have started with three-straight losses. Who will snap their losing streak?
Both teams will be without two players as the final injury reports for the game were released on Saturday. Miami ruled out cornerbacks Storm Duck and Jason Marshall, Jr., while the Jets will be without cornerback Jarvis Brownlee, Jr., and edge rusher Jermaine Johnson, II. Duck has been dealing with an ankle injury while Marshall has a hamstring issue. Brownlee and Johnson are both sidelined with ankle problems.
Miami listed cornerback Ethan Bonner as questionable for Monday as he deals with a hamstring issue.
The Jets also listed running back Kene Nwangwu on the injury report, designating him as doubtful. Nwangwu has a hamstring injury.
The good news for Miami is with wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Darren Waller. Hill missed Saturday’s practice with a personal matter. The team did not give him a game-day designation, indicating whatever the issue was, it will not impact his availability for Monday.
Waller is set to make his Dolphins debut after being sidelined the first three weeks with a hip injury. He is expected to be on a snap count, but the Dolphins could use the big-bodied tight end to create mismatches and relieve some of the pressure on Hill and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, along with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
The Jets will see the return of quarterback Justin Fields, who has cleared the concussion protocol and will return to the lineup after missing last week.
