Which Rams player needs to be more involved against Colts?

The question of how Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay are excluding offensive players not named Puka Nacua has been one of the most talked about topics at the start of the Rams season. As noted in a post on our Feeds section on Thursday morning, Stafford’s determination to get the ball to Puka and Davante Adams is at a historically alarming rate.

With a very good Colts team on deck in Week 4, a team that has allowed the seventh-fewest points, eighth-fewest passing yards, and eighth-fewest rushing yards, how can Stafford and McVay surprise Indianapolis by getting others involved?

What do Rams fans hope to see? Who do you think should be more involved this week on offense? Tell us what you think in the comments below.

WR Puka Nacua – Probably not

Nacua is averaging 12 targets per game. Is that enough? Would you ramp that up even more for the NFL’s leader in catches and yards? Shouldn’t Nacua get more opportunities in the red zone?

WR Davante Adams – Probably not

Adams has been targeted 10 times per game. He’s only averaging 7.3 yards per target and has a catch rate of 45%. Stafford will force it to Adams if he has to, we know that, but should L.A. ramp down Adams’ targets for now?

WR Tutu Atwell – Does he not deserve it?

Atwell is only making $2 million less this year than Adams. He makes almost 10 times as much as Puka. Obviously that’s because Nacua was a fifth round pick and hasn’t been extended yet, but why did the Rams give Tutu a guaranteed $10 million? He’s only been targeted three times in three games and he has four yards. Tutu has spent his entire 5-year career with Stafford and yet they have zero chemistry.

If Atwell isn’t more involved soon, the Rams have to be considering a trade or outright release and hope someone claims him on waivers.

WR Jordan Whittington – Maybe?

Whittington seems to be more well-rounded that Tutu. He only has 5 targets this season, catching 4 passes for 49 yards and a first down. Maybe try to get Whittington more involved on kickoff returns too.

TE Terrance Ferguson – Soon?

A took a few months for Trey McBride to get going with the Cardinals and now he’s one of the top tight ends in the NFL. Is that Ferguson’s path or is he merely behind schedule? With Colby Parkinson acting as arguably the worst tight end in the NFL as a receiver, couldn’t the Rams try to make a change soon?

Do Tyler Higbee and Davis Allen need to be more involved in the passing offense? Do you see more opportunities coming for Higbee or is he past his good days?

RB Blake Corum – It’s coming

Corum is averaging 7.1 yards per carry and he got eight opportunities in Week 3. Despite this, Kyren Williams still got 20 carries, his highest total of the season. Can McVay run it more often against the Colts and how many of those should go to Corum?

Do you think Corum should be closer to a 50/50 split with Kyren?

Kyren Williams – Not being used enough?

If you’re a Kyren fan, do you think 20 carries is even not enough? Should there be more Kyren, not more Corum?

Where do you fall on the Kyren/Corum scale?

Let us know in the comments: Which Rams offensive skill players should be utilized more in Week 4?
