Some notes

  • Speaking to reporters before Wednesday’s practice, Kansas City head coach Andy Reid said that all of his players would be participating. That is reflected on the week’s first injury report, which lists defensive end Mike Danna (quad) and cornerback Kristian Fulton (ankle) as limited participants. Both were out for Sunday’s win over the New York Giants after being held out of all of last week’s practices, so they took solid steps forward.
  • Wide receiver Xavier Worthy (shoulder) was also out on Sunday after being limited in last week’s practices. He begins the team’s Week 4 practices as a full participant, which suggests he’ll be ready to play against Baltimore.
  • The rest of those shown on Kansas City’s report were also listed as full participants — including safety Bryan Cook, who left Sunday’s game with a neck injury.
  • For the Ravens, left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle) did not participate. He played every snap in the Ravens’ “Monday Night Football” loss to the Detroit Lions.
  • Pro Bowl fullback Patrick Ricard (calf) and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) were also held out of practice. Ricard hasn’t practiced since August 14. Van Noy missed the Lions game.
  • Starting defensive tackles Nnamdi Madubuike (neck), Travis Jones (knee), and Broderick Washington Jr. (ankle) — all of them starters on the defensive line — also did not particpate.
  • Without Madubuike on Monday, the Ravens gave up 224 rushing yards. Baltimore also failed to sack quarterback Jared Goff even once. (Madubuike led the team with 13 sacks in 2023).
  • On Wednesday, the Ravens added depth at the position by signing defensive tackles Taven Bryan and Josh Tupou to their practice squad. Bryan is a former first-round pick with 11.5 sacks over seven pro seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts. Tupou is also a seven-year veteran. Five of those were with the Cincinnati Bengals. He spent last season on the Ravens’ practice squad, from which he was elevated for three games.
