A costly fumble by Drake Maye late in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference, as Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers snapped out of a scoring drought to punch in the go-ahead touchdown with just over two minutes remaining. The Patriots had battled back from an early 14-point deficit, evening the score at 14–14 to start the final quarter, but five turnovers ultimately doomed their comeback attempt.
Washington Commanders 41, Las Vegas Raiders 24
The Washington Commanders returned to the win column with a 41–24 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3 at Northwest Stadium.
Minnesota Vikings 48, Cincinnati Bengals 10
In a battle of backup quarterbacks, the Vikings routed the Bengals through solid play from Carson Wentz and a day to remember for Isaiah Rodgers.
Cleveland Browns 13, Green Bay Packers 10
A late blocked field goal helped the Browns upend the previously undefeated Packers in Week 3.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 29, New York Jets 27
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers escaped with a 29–27 win over the Jets, pulling out the victory in the final seconds. After a blocked field goal was returned for a touchdown to give the Jets a late lead, Baker Mayfield responded by driving Tampa Bay back into field-goal range. With a chance at redemption, the Bucs nailed the game-winner to seal the win.
Los Angeles Chargers 23, Denver Broncos 20
The Chargers moved to 3–0 with a 23–20 win over the Broncos on Sunday. After taking a 10–0 lead, Los Angeles allowed Denver to respond with 20 unanswered points. Trailing in the fourth, Justin Herbert led a late touchdown drive, capped by a 20-yard pass to Keenan Allen.
Seattle Seahawks 44, New Orleans Saints 13
The Seahawks were all over the Saints from the get-go, piling on 38 first-half points.
San Francisco 49ers 16, Arizona Cardinals 15
The 49ers are 3-0 despite Brock Purdy‘s two-week absence, downing the Cardinals with a 35-yard field goal as time expired.
Kansas City Chiefs 22, New York Giants 9
The Kansas City Chiefs overcame a slow start to defeat the New York Giants 22–9 in Week 3. Patrick Mahomes wasn’t at his best but still outperformed Russell Wilson, who struggled again and is likely to face renewed calls for a benching after another disappointing showing.
