The Los Angeles Rams (2-1) are hosting the Indianpolis Colts (3-0) for Week 4 of the NFL season, and the opening odds, at least at FanDuel, favor the Colts by 3.5 points, and that’s meaningful as the Rams are home for this matchup, but they are the underdogs. That’s a little atypical at the NFL level where home teams are generally favored.
The over/under point total is is 47.5 as the oddsmakers must expect Matthew Stafford and Daniel Jones to put up some numbers on Sunday.
The last time these two teams faced-off, L.A. won in overtime as Puka Nacua arrived at the NFL level with 9 catches for 163 yards and a walk-off touchdown. But that was a couple seasons ago, so what happened then, may not really hae any impact on how this matchup will go in ’25.
The Colts are coming into this game as one of the best teams in the NFL, and they’ve looked legit in all three of their wins, including at their quartberback position as Jones is playing some of the best football of his life.
The Colts would stay atop of the AFC with a win over the Rams.
The Rams enter this home game after what may have been a deflating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, we’ll know fast whether or not the Rams respond the right way, or if they lose their second game of the young season in a row.
If L.A. can win, then they’ll be back where they want to be, if they lose, the Rams will have their work cut out for them as their schedule doesn’t get easier.
