The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to be without starting wide receiver Xavier Worthy when they play the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic is reporting that Worthy will miss his second consecutive game after suffering a shoulder injury in the season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy is not expected to play Sunday night against the Giants, per source.Worthy (shoulder) practiced on a limited basis this week, but his return will have to wait.

As Russini reports, Worthy did return to practice this week, and there was some hope that he could take the field this week while wearing a harness to support his injured shoulder. However, it seems he hasn’t quite recovered enough from the injury to be active.
This is a break for the Giants’ defense, as Worthy is the fastest player in the NFL and is dangerous as a vertical threat as well as on manufactured touches.
The Chiefs will be relying on JuJu Smith-Schuster and Hollywood Brown at receiver with Worthy and Rashee Rice sidelined by injury and suspension, respectively.
Of course, the Chiefs still have Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, but their offense is significantly less explosive without their top receivers.
