Monday Night Football, Week 2 – Bucs vs. Texans and Chargers vs. Raiders: How to watch, game time, TV channel, streaming

Week two concludes with a Monday Night Football double header. In the first game of the evening, we have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveling to Houston to take on the Texans.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers come into this matchup 1-0 after a a close 23-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was able orchestrate a game winning drive throwing a touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka with less than a minute to go. Overall Mayfield found the end zone three times and will look to keep that momentum going against a stingy Texans defense.

The Houston Texans come into the game 0-1 after a 14-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The offense will look to bounce back after being held out of the end zone week one. Quarterback C.J. Stroud will look to try to recapture some of the magic he had the last time he faced off against the Texans during his rookie season. Stroud lit up the Buccaneers defense with a rookie-record 470 passing yards and a career high 5 touchdown passes to give the Texans a 39-37 win. The Texans will need Stroud to play at a high level since the Buccaneers boast one of the leagues best run defenses and will look to bottle up Nick Chubb like they did Bijan Robinson on his rush attempts.

The second game of the night will feature an AFC west matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Chargers enter this matchup 1-0 after a primetime victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in week one. Quarterback Justin Herbert had a strong performance throwing for 318 yards and 2 touchdowns with 0 interceptions. Wide receiver Quentin Johnston will look to keep his strong performance going after hauling in 2 touchdown passes and leading the team in receiving yards. On defense, Khalil Mack and co. will look slow down a Raiders offense that was able to move the ball consistently last week.

The Raiders come into the game 1-0 as well after picking up a victory over the New England Patriots. Quarterback Geno Smith was able to throw for 362 yards and a touchdown in his Raiders debut which set a franchise record for passing yards. The biggest beneficiaries were tight end Brock Bowers who led the team with 103 yards on 5 catches and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers who led the team with 8 catches for 97 yards.
