The Rams struggled mightily to run the ball against the Titans with Kyren Williams on Sunday, so finally Sean McVay started to give backup Blake Corum more work in the second half. The difference was monumental. Will McVay consider giving a larger percentage of snaps to Corum against the Eagles next week?
If the film says that Corum was simply the better player, McVay would be foolish to not put his best players on the field against Philadelphia in Week 3. Williams’ starting job may not be in jeopardy at this point, but the fact that so many people are talking about his backup only weeks after the Rams gave him a three-year, $33 million extension is alone worthy of note.
Williams had 33 yards on 13 carries, a number that was surpassed by Corum on his first three carries alone. With 5 carries, Corum had 44 yards and his first career touchdown:

Corum is inching himself up towards being an equal opportunity running back. But should he be overtaking Kyren Williams in the near future, even before the Kyren Williams extension kicks in?
Sean McVay knows that he has to go with the hot hand, no matter the contract situation, so will he give Corum more work in Week 3? Or does he trust Kyren Williams too much to take him off of the field and maybe the Titans just didn’t block those plays well enough for Kyren Williams?
