The Cowboys beat the Giants on Sunday, 37-34, after using nearly the entire 10 minute overtime to do so. Even though they got the win, Dallas’ defense allowed Russell Wilson to put up 450 passing yards and three touchdowns during the NFC East matchup.
After bringing in pass rusher Jadaveon Clowney for a workout last week, the Cowboys made things official with Jerry Jones announcing the signing minutes after the Week 2 win.

Clowney is obviously a big downgrade from Micah Parsons, but he’s not entirely washed up yet, either. This will be Year 12 for the pass rusher, and since leaving the Texans in 2018, Clowney has only been retained for a second season by one team, the Browns — he was with four other teams for just one season each.
The pass rusher may not be as big of a factor as he once was, but he is still the same player who once knocked Carson Wentz out of the playoffs with a dirty hit — so he’ll fit in well with the Cowboys, and Jalen Hurts will need to be careful when the Eagles face Dallas again later in the season.
Also, a reminder that Clowney once said that Philadelphia has the worst fans in the world.
