After an exciting early slate of games we have yet another duel of young quarterbacks to end the day. The Atlanta Falcons will face off against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football. This is the first matchup between second-year quarterbacks J.J. McCarthy and Michael Penix since they met in the College Football National Championship game.
The Atlanta Falcons come into this game 0-1 after dropping their first game of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The dynamic running back will look to continue his momentum against a Vikings defense that allowed 65 scrimmage yards to D’Andre Swift in week one.
The Minnesota Vikings are 1-0 after a win over the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. McCarthy led three touchdown drives in the fourth quarter for the come from behind victory in his first NFL start. The Vikings will look to carry that momentum against a Falcons defense that allowed Baker Mayfield to a 99.3 rating in week one with three touchdown passes.
