After an action-packed first week of NFL football, we wrap up the opening week with the Minnesota Vikings vs the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. We have a matchup of two first-round quarterbacks from the 2024 NFL Draft on primetime.
For the Minnesota Vikings, this will be the first regular season action for quarterback J.J. McCarthy who missed all of his rookie season with torn meniscus. If there is one player in the NFL who can make adjusting to the NFL easier for any young signal caller its wide receiver Justin Jefferson. The first team All-Pro had 103 catches for 1,533 yards and 10 TDs in 2024 and will look to help make McCarthy’s transition to the NFL a smooth one.
The Chicago Bears will look to rebound from a rough 2024 under new head coach Ben Johnson. The Bears went offense in the first and second round of this past NFL Draft to help give Caleb Williams as many tools to be successful as possible. With Colston Loveland and Luther Burden making their regular season debut under this new Ben Johnson-led offense, tonight is the first step in this new direction for the Bears.
