The Los Angeles Rams trail the Houston Texans by a score of 9-7 as the first half of the game came to its close. The Texans scored first with a field goal, and litterally drew first blood when they sent Puka Nacua, the team’s best offensive player, out of the game for a time as Nacua was dramatically seen bleeding from his face after taking a hit to the head.

Nacua was able to return before the end of quarter two, but Matthew Stafford and the offense struggled for much of the first half after Nacua exited, neither Davante Adams or Kyren Williams were able to carry the squad without Nacua.

L.A.’s defense looked stout considering their offense struggled to move up the field or sustain drives, as any big play that L.A. did seem to earn was negated by penalty. The Rams created their own errors as much as the Texans forced any mistakes.

L.A. was trailing 6-0 with under three minutes to go in the half, but they had a chance to put some points on the board, and with Nacua back out for the offense, L.A. drove down to the redzone, but Nacua was again removed from the game as the referees were concerned that he was either concussed, or that his newly added bandage was leaking blood.

Even without Nacua, the Rams finally punched the ball into the endzone on a Williams rushing score with 0:53 seconds to go in quarter two. L.A. led 7-6 after the extra point.

CJ Stroud had the time to move his team into field goal position before the end of the half, and he did exactly that as his team took a 9-7 lead.

We head to halftime and await the start of the third quarter. We’ll have to see how this game ends up, either team seems capable of winning on this Sunday.
