Texans to be without their No. 2 WR vs. Rams on Sunday (theramswire)

“Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Thursday that Christian Kirk is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Rams due to a hamstring strain, an injury that could keep him out even longer than that. The Texans are already without Joe Mixon, who remains on the non-football injury list.

Wide receiver Braxton Berrios has missed the first two days of practice, as well, leaving Houston fairly thin at the position for the start of the season.“

Look, the Texans may have the depth so these injuries won’t matter on Sunday, the team has shown to be resilient over the past couple seasons, but in theory. the Texans are coming into this game a bit beat up in Week 1 while the Los Angeles Rams (in theory!) are coming into this game healthy. That’s worth noting.

We’ll find out who exits the game healthier, and who exits the game with the win.

Hopefully the Thursday night game was good (I am writing this before that) and hopefully we all have enough energy to enjoy tonight’s game too! Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times, thanks to the commenters and readers, hopefully you’re enjoying the new website.

Comment away and enjoy your Friday!

Texans, Rams under is a strong bet in Week 1 (nbcsports)

“With a competitive game on tap between the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Rams, Vaughn Dalzell and Drew Dinsick zero in on the under total points as the side to bet on in this matchup.“

Los Angeles Rams vs Houston Texans NFL Preview: Team news, odds, tickets, predictions, live stream, Fantasy Football and more (goal.com)

“The Houston Texans open their season on the road at SoFi Stadium, where they’ll meet the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Sept. 7. Kickoff is set for 4:25 pm ET in Inglewood, California.

Both Teams enter 2025 with playoff ambitions after notching postseason wins a year ago, the Texans knocked off the Chargers in the AFC Wild Card, while the Rams dispatched Minnesota. Now, each side is eager to build on that momentum in Week 1.“
