The Philadelphia Eagles issued their first official injury report on Monday in advance of their Week 1 game against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.
The Eagles listed two players under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: Landon Dickerson and Tanner McKee.
Dickerson returned to practice last week after originally suffering a knee injury on August 10. He also participated in Sunday’s practice. It was curious, then, to learn of his absence on Monday. Brett Toth was seen taking first-team left guard reps in Dickerson’s stead. After practice, it was revealed that Dickerson is now listed with a back injury … with no mention of his knee injury. Despite this unexpected development, it sounds like Dickerson still has a chance of starting against the Cowboys.
McKee is dealing with a fractured thumb that will likely cause him to miss Week 1. In his absence, Sam Howell will be the top backup quarterback behind Jalen Hurts. It remains to be seen how the Eagles will handle the emergency third quarterback role; temporarily elevating Kyle McCord from the practice squad could be considered.
The Eagles listed two players under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Andrew Mukuba and Joshua Uche.
Mukuba returned to practice on Sunday after previously missing time due to a hamstring injury. He might not yet be ready to play. Even if he is, it’s hard to envision him starting ahead of Sydney Brown in Week 1. But Mukuba could eventually take over for Brown.
Uche picked up a groin injury late in training camp. He’s still not yet 100%, though he might be able to play. If he can’t, the Eagles will have four active edge rushers: Nolan Smith, Jaylx Hunt, Azeez Ojulari, and Ogbo Okoronkwo.
The Eagles listed one player under FULL PARTICIPATION: Jalen Carter.
Carter missed some time early in training camp due to a shoulder injury. He was then removed from the injury report once he returned to action but now he’s being listed again. He will play.
A.J. Brown was notably not listed on the injury report.
Brown returned to practice last week after missing a good portion of training camp due to a hamstring injury. He’s good to go.

DALLAS COWBOYS INJURY REPORT (MONDAY)
Cowboys starting cornerback Trevon Diggs and starting left tackle Tyler Guyton were notably fully participants on Monday.
Diggs might be able to suit up against the Eagles but it doesn’t sound like it’s a lock.
The Cowboys really need Diggs to play because they’re very thin at corner behind him.
Guyton playing for Dallas is a big win for them since it originally looked like he went down with a season-ending injury. But Guyton struggled as a rookie and then missed most of training camp this summer, which might’ve hindered his development.
Backup defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey seems unlikely to play.
