The Philadelphia Eagles are up to eight players on the 2025 NFL Top 100 list, but the latest ranking is a bit of a surprise. The reigning Super Bowl MVP, quarterback Jalen Hurts, made this year’s list at No. 19.
There has been a lot of discourse about the Eagles’ quarterback this offseason, with national media members unable to correlate the Super Bowl winning season with being a Top 5 QB. The Eagles offense isn’t as dynamic without him, and at the very least, someone had to distribute the ball — Saquon Barkley has yet to be named to this years Top 100 list, so he’s set to rank higher than Hurts.
Hurts actually dropped four spots in this year’s rankings, after finishing the 2024 season with his highest passer rating (103.7), highest completion percentage (68.7), and an absolutely dominant Super Bowl performance. This year’s ranking will do little to quiet opinions that the QB is merely a product of a talented roster, but everyone in Philly knows just how important and successful the Super Bowl MVP is to this Eagles organization.
The QB is not someone to talk about being slighted or undervalued, but he is someone to take note of it and prove everyone wrong.
