The Las Vegas Raiders finish the 2025 preseason schedule at the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. PT.
Here are five keys to the game for Las Vegas:
Stop the run:
Other than a couple of nice plays on the first drive against San Francisco last week, the Raiders have been giving up chunk yardage in the ground this season. Even though, we likely won’t be seeing many starters in this game, it would be nice to see the Raiders get better in this area.
Stop the pass:
The same goes for the pass defense. San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy lit up the Raiders’ secondary during his one series last week. It would be helpful for the Raiders’ depth pieces at cornerback to have a solid game.
Quarterback play:
Rookie Cam Miller had a rough ending to last week’s game, taking two sacks and then throwing an interception that setup the 49ers’ game-winning field goal. Miller has had some moments in the preseason and he will likely play a lot in this game. He can solidify is role on the team,
Play clean:
The Raiders have 17 penalties for 144 yards in two games. Getting that figured out before the regular season is important, even though many backups will be playing. Fundamentals are still important this late in the preseason.
Health:
As always, it’s the most important aspect of the preseason.
