The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced three transactions on Wednesday. Here’s an overview:
- S Caden Sterns and OLB David Anenih were signed to the practice squad.
- TE Kevin Foelsch was released from the practice squad.
Let’s sort through this news on a player-by-player basis.
CADEN STERNS
Sterns has bounced on and off the Eagles since they signed him on August 11. This is already the third time they’ve signed him to the practice squad. We’ll see if he actually lasts this time or he gets quickly cut again.
DAVID ANENIH
Anenih is a brand new addition to the team. The Eagles had an open practice squad spot to fill after signing Nick Gates to the roster. And in order to make that move, they waived outside linebacker Patrick Johnson, who got claimed by the New York Giants. Anenih, who originally entered the league as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2022, has spent time on five different NFL rosters before landing in Philly. Probably just a depth guy.
KEVIN FOELSCH
The Eagles cut Foelsch two days after honoring Nick Foles.
