In the early morning before training camp practice began, it was announced the the Miami Dolphins had signed CB Jack Jones, who brings starting experience to the secondary. A couple of months ago, the Las Vegas Raiders were looking to trade Jones but were unable too and ended up waiving him. He didn’t have his best season last year and he has his off the field issues. But the help was needed in Miami and taking a one year flyer on him isn’t that bad of an idea.
After practice, it was announced the Dolphins had signed CB Mike Hilton. He was most recently with the Cincinnati Bengals and is considered one of the better nickel cornerbacks in the NFL. This comes off of the news that CB Kader Kohou left Dolphins practice with an injury. He was able to leave the field under his own power, but who knows if the Hilton signifies anything with Kohou’s injury.
