Matthew Stafford will now miss the first two weeks of training camp, per Sean McVay
Sean McVay initially said Matthew Stafford would miss roughly the first five days of training camp. On Saturday the timeline was extended, as the Los Angeles Rams’ coach said Stafford will now sit out all of next week.
Matthew Stafford will not practice next week, McVay said.

McVay clarified his comments by indicating he misspoke at the start of camp and that Stafford’s status will be considered a “week at a time”.
That’s a turn from when McVay said Stafford would start practicing – previously he said he felt “pretty good” that the QB would only miss the first block of camp. https://t.co/np5XnmUOkQ

Veteran Jimmy Garoppolo has operated the first-string offense in Stafford’s offense. The Rams are acclimating a couple new, key pass catchers ahead of the regular season, mainly Davante Adams and rookie Terrance Ferguson. How long can Stafford sit out before the team risks a lack of chemistry with receivers into Week 1?
Stay tuned for regular training camp updates from the staff here at Turf Show Times.

yeah he was talking up Gorrapollo yesterday on Kay Adams show. I thought he was laying it on kinda thick. Now I know why.

This is really concerning. This is really gonna piss me off if he’s hurt all year considering they turned down first round picks for him
