Miami’s CB1 limped off the field on Saturday, though the severity of the injury remains unknown.
Hours after the Dolphins and free agent cornerback Jack Jones agreed to a one-year deal, another player in Miami’s secondary got banged up, and it’s a player the team can not afford to lose at this stage of the season.
According to multiple reports, starting cornerback Kader Kohou went down with an apparent leg injury after getting tangled up with wide receiver Tyreek Hill during drills. He tried to get up after the play, but fell to the ground shortly after.

Kohou was Miami’s CB1 all throughout the offseason and was looking forward to the opportunity of being Miami’s clubhouse leader.
“I have to step up and be a leader in the room and show the younger guys how we want our unit to be, just like they did with me. Jalen Ramsey, X, Jordan Poyer, they showed me the way. You don’t always have to talk; you can lead by example.”
The former undrafted acorn has made a name for himself since joining the Dolphins in 2022 and was primed to be Miami’s top cornerback.
Although he played more in the slot throughout his career, Kohou has experience playing on the outside, which is where he was set to line up this season. Now, we just have to hope and pray the injury doesn’t cost him significant time, though early reports don’t seem too promising, but not entirely doom and gloom.
Dolphins’ Kader Kohou — their No.1 CB — appeared to suffer a leg injury during 1-on-1 drills in practice. He walked off the field and into the building gingerly but under his own power.

During his three seasons in Miami, Kohou started 38 of 47 games, recording 180 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 28 pass breakups, 3 interceptions, and two forced fumbles.
Dolphins also lose B.J. Adams to injury
Also injured at Saturday’s practice was UDFA cornerback B.J. Adams. Adams’ injury comes just days after he and Artie Burns got tangled up at practice. Burns was placed on season-ending injured reserve following an injury he sustained in Wednesday’s practice..
EDIT: 12 PM EDT:::: BREAKING NEWS:
The Dolphins just signed former Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Mike Hilton, raising even more concern about Kohou’s potential injury.
