What we’re hearing and seeing at Giants training camp: Jameis Winston gets second-team reps | ESPN.com
It was quarterback Jameis Winston’s turn to run with the second-team offense Friday. After rookie Jaxson Dart had the honor most of the first two days of training camp, coach Brian Daboll made sure on not to forget about Winston, who primarily was the third-team quarterback to date.
Winston stepped up to the challenge, going 12-of-14 passes in live drills as the Giants still look to stack their depth chart while simultaneously focusing on Dart’s development.

Theo Johnson: Embracing legacy and finding his purpose with NY Giants | The Record
“There’s countless times where we’ll be in the middle of a meeting and he’ll be like, ‘Theo, Dabs wants to see you,'” Johnson recalled last summer. “Pulls me out of the meeting and I’m like, ‘What could this possibly be about?’ And then he’s got up a clip of Gronk just running somebody over, catching a back shoulder, and he’s like, ‘This is what we expect from you.’ I can tell he puts a lot of intentional eye into the tight end position … I think it goes to show how he feels about me and what he thinks I’m capable of.”
Over-Under Win Predictions For Every NFL Team In 2025 | Bleacher Report
New York Giants: Under 5.5 Wins. I want to buy into the Giants, but they have the most difficult schedule in the entire league. And while Russell Wilson could well be rejuvenated in a new setting with the rising Malik Nabers headlining his arsenal, that’s far from guaranteed considering the QB’s late-career path.
Regardless, those guys could need some time. And it doesn’t help that there isn’t much talent beyond that or that the offensive line appears to be a huge liability. Even if the defense takes a step forward with Abdul Carter and Jevon Holland on board, this team is likely to improve on a three-win 2024 campaign by no more than a win or two in 2025.

New York Giants: Cam Skattebo leads the backfield earlier than expected
Cam Skattebo led the Big 12 in nearly every major rushing category in 2024. He posted a 94.6 PFF rushing grade, 1,712 rushing yards, 103 missed tackles forced and 1,202 yards after contact. He added value as a receiver, too, earning a 79.8 PFF receiving grade on 44 receptions for 543 yards. With elite production, more draft capital than Tracy and a versatile profile, Skattebo is poised to seize control of New York’s backfield earlier than expected.
