The Miami Dolphins are set to release their “rivalries” jersey next month.
The Miami Dolphins released a teaser for a new jersey on Friday, setting up for a release date of the new look late in August. The NFL and Nike have teamed up to establish a “Rivalries” look that is designed for use in intra-division matchups. The NFC West and AFC East were tapped to debut the program, giving the eight teams in the two divisions a new alternate look for a game in the 2025 season.
The jerseys are expected to be an alternate option for each team for three years after they are released. The Dolphins will, according to the teaser, release the look on August 28. They are expected to wear the jerseys for the first time when they host the New York Jets on Monday Night Football on September 29.

The Jets also teased their own “Rivalries” jersey release on Friday. They will wear the jersey for the first time on December 7, when they host the Dolphins.
The “Rivalries” program was announced during the NFL Draft in April. According to the NFL.com article about the program, “Each participating team will wear a unique Rivalries uniform with designs rooted extensively in local community insights during a single home game against a division rival. The designs have been brought to life by pulling inspiration from the history of each market and the aspects of the community that only that team’s city embodies.”
Will the Dolphins unveil a “Miami Vice” style of jersey, with pink and light blue coloring similar to the Miami Heat’s alternate look? Does the logo at the end of the teaser, with the dolphin grey and the sunburst filled with aqua provide a clue of the look?
