2024 Recap
Georgia’s bid for a third national championship in four years effectively ended when quarterback Carson Beck suffered a season-ending elbow injury in the SEC Championship Game against Texas. While the Bulldogs went on to win that matchup, backup Gunner Stockton struggled in relief, earning just a 56.5 PFF grade in a College Football Playoff quarterfinal loss to Notre Dame.
Now the redshirt junior enters 2025 with a full offseason as the starter following Beck’s transfer to Miami (FL). Georgia bolstered its underperforming receiving corps through the transfer portal, but questions remain along the offensive line after losing all three interior starters. On defense, the Bulldogs lose standouts like Mykel Williams, Jalon Walker and Malaki Starks, yet Kirby Smart’s track record suggests his unit will remain among the nation’s best.
