Fantasy Football: 5 IDP values to target late in drafts

By
- Carl Granderson is well worth taking a shot on in 2025: The underappreciated New Orleans Saints defensive lineman comes with high-end sack and tackle production that IDP drafters often overlook.
- Demetrius Knight Jr. finds himself in an optimal situation as a rookie: It’s rare for a rookie linebacker to be thrust into a starting role, but that’s how Knight is positioned heading into Year 1, making him a top value target at the position this offseason.

Finding the hidden gems in fantasy football drafts and hitting on a potential value boost could end up paying significant dividends in building a championship-caliber roster every fantasy season. While it’s still relatively early in fantasy draft season, diving into FastDraft’s IDP-based best ball ADP and D-Up, I’m going to find the players being ignored by most, if not all, drafters to identify potential values who can help differentiate your builds from the rest of the pack.
In large contests, adding in the unique players with high-end upside among the rest of the top options can be the key in vaulting your roster above the floor of the rest, as similar IDP targets make up the majority of the competition’s builds. This piece will highlight players with no or very low rostership who can be added as a final pick in this format to help elevate your 2025 build.

Granderson delivered a breakout season in 2023, delivering 8.5 sacks and finishing as a top-10 IDP at his position as a result. Heading into 2024, expectations were relatively high for Granderson to deliver similarly, though he unfortunately fell short in the sack column, which ultimately hurt his IDP production and has seemingly scared IDP drafters off from trusting him again. For IDP drafters who understand the fickle nature of year-to-year IDP production, as highlighted here, this is where we can bet on positive variance favoring good players to create a bounce-back in value.
