Week 2 Monday Night Football: Eagles vs. Falcons

NFC matchup tonight with Primetime Kirk facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles.

We close out Week 2 with an intriguing matchup on our hands as the Atlanta Falcons (+ 198) make the trip to Philly to face off against the Eagles (- 240). The home team opens up as 5.5-point favourites according to FanDuel’s sportsbook with the O/U at 46.5.

The Falcons lost a disappointing game against the Steelers on their season debut, as the offense did not look much better with Cousins in at quarterback, and Chris Boswell made three field goals over 50 yards. That unit has way too much talent to continue underperforming like it has, so I fully expect them to turn things around sooner rather than later.

The Eagles won against the Green Bay Packers in their debut, on what was a thrilling game. Saquon Barkley looked even better than what the most optimistic Eagles’ fan expected, but they will be without wide receiver A.J. Brown for this game.

While I believe it is really difficult to predict how the Falcons’ offense will look, I think that playing at home, and the talent difference, will be more than enough for the Eagles to comfortably win and climb to 2-0 on the season.
