Las Vegas Raiders star edge rusher believes the team has a lot of work to do during his interview at the sack summit
The Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher has established himself as one of the best players at his position. It is rare to find him on a top ten list, and a consistent motor has earned him respect around the NFL.
Crosby is coming off a down year, during which he was placed on IR and didn’t finish the season. His ankle has recovered, and he was a full participant in OTA sessions, and he should be ready to wreak havoc on quarterbacks in 2025. This past week, he served as a co-host for the Von Miller Sack Summit, which took place in Las Vegas. It is an event where edge rushers come together to share techniques and philosophies on how to defeat offensive linemen consistently.
Tashan Reed of The Athletic attended the event and had the opportunity to interview Crosby. The former MAC Defensive Player of the Year spoke about his excitement for the new coaching staff, but knows there is much work to be accomplished.
“It’s an honor, obviously, having the Raiders with a new staff and new regime come in and show me that type of respect,” Crosby said Thursday. “It means the world. Like Spytek said, it’s not about what I’ve done, it’s about what I’m about to do. … And we’ve got a lot of work to do.”
The new coaching staff is attempting to build a winning culture for a football team that has not won a playoff game since 2002. Crosby is one of the key pieces to that reviva,l and the Raiders don’t want to waste the career of their star defensive end. If the defense and offense can display improvement next season, it could be a significant step toward making that vision a reality.
