Who is going to take a step forward in 2025?
Projections for the the New York Giants’ 2025 season are pessimistic as of right now, though for good reason. The Giants haven’t shown that they’re able to be consistently competitive with the better teams in the NFL. But the flip side of that is that they’ve had tremendous roster turnover over the last couple years and fielded the fourth youngest roster in the NFL last year — even with Graham Gano.
A significant portion of the Giants’ roster are young players who are veterans on the cusp of their “prime” years. Unfortunately, many have disappointed or have yet to take the next step in their development.
But development isn’t linear and players are seldom finished products by their second season in the NFL.
So this week we’re highlighting four who have flashed and Giants’ success, but have yet to show that they can make good on their potential.
- OL Evan Neal
- iOL John Michael Schmitz
- WR Jalin Hyatt
- CB Deonte Banks
Over the coming weeks in the lead up to training camp, we’ll be spotlighting the Giants’ young veterans entering “Make or Break” years, and looking at why they could make a leap, or fall short.
For now, however, we want to know which of the above young veterans you think will take the next step and become a reliable piece for the Giants going forward.
