Eagles win-loss record predictions for the 2025 schedule

How many games do you see the Birds winning this season?

Now that the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2025 schedule is officially here, it’s the perfect time to predict the outcome of every single game.

Some may suggest this is a useless activity. To that I say: lighten up, Francis. We’re just trying to have some fun.

Also, this projection is bound to be 100% accurate, so it’s actually pretty useful.

This time last year, I had the 2024 Eagles finishing with a 13-4 regular season record. I was somehow a little too low on a team that ultimately finished 14-3 and won Super Bowl LIX.

Let’s take a look at how things might shake out!

Week 1 – vs. Dallas Cowboys

The idea that “Dak Prescott owns the Eagles!” is very silly. Yes, Cowboys fans, he’s been such an obstacle for the Eagles to overcome that they’ve won TWO Super Bowls during his time in the NFL. Prescott was bad before he got hurt last year. This will be his age 32 season. The Eagles’ defense will shut him down as the reigning champs get a win on the night where they reveal their Super Bowl banner.

EAGLES WIN: 1-0

Week 2 – at Kansas City Chiefs

In 2023, the Eagles won the regular season rematch of Super Bowl LVII. In 2025, I have the Eagles losing the regular season rematch of Super Bowl LIX. At the very least, I expect the game to be a lot more competitive than the last meeting between these two teams.

EAGLES LOSE: 1-1

Week 3 – vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams might be the second best team in the NFC. But their defense really, really struggled to stop Saquon Barkley last year. And I’m not about to give the cowardly Sean McVay the benefit of the doubt. Nick Sirianni and Vic Fangio are each 3-0 against the Rams’ head coach.

EAGLES WIN: 2-1

Week 4 – at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

How can the Eagles possibly recover from a Week 4 loss to the Bucs that drops them to 2-2?! There’s just no way they can possibly go on to win the Super Bowl after that.

Jokes aside, Tampa has been a pretty tough place for them to play. Todd Bowles has Jalen Hurts’ number; the Eagles quarterback is 1-4 in games against the Bucs. Hurts has produced just seven passing touchdowns to six turnovers against Bowles defenses.

EAGLES LOSE: 2-2

Week 5 – vs. Denver Broncos

This game marks the second time Fangio is going up against the Broncos since Denver fired him. The first time was when the Miami Dolphins beat the Broncos in 2023, 70 to 20. Methinks he likes beating that team.

EAGLES WIN: 3-2

Week 6 – at New York Giants

Russell Wilson used to own the Eagles but they finally beat him as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024. He’s clearly not what he once was. And he might not even be starting for them at this point? If he isn’t, Jaxson Dart isn’t keeping Fangio up at night.

EAGLES WIN: 4-2

Week 7 – at Minnesota Vikings

Hard to know exactly what to make of the Vikings given the uncertainty that comes with projecting J.J. McCarthy. Minny does seem poised to take a step back after having a lot of success in one-score games last year.

EAGLES WIN: 5-2

Week 8 – vs. New York Giants

The Eagles have absolutely owned the Giants since … well, a long time now. No reason to give New York the benefit of the doubt. Especially with this game taking place in Philly.

EAGLES WIN: 6-2

Week 9 – BYE

The Eagles were able to overcome an initially dreaded Week 5 bye last year. Turned out it came at the perfect time. This time around, the bye is essentially at the halfway point of the regular season.

Week 10 – at Green Bay Packers

I’d say this game is the Packers’ Super Bowl but I don’t think that’s the case. I think cowardly pushing to eliminate the Brotherly Shove is their true achievement. Very unserious crybaby losers who will only look silly again when the Eagles beat them again.

EAGLES WIN: 7-2

Week 11 – Detroit Lions

Tough spot here for the Eagles, coming off short rest to play the nasty and physical Dan Campbell Lions. I think the Birds either win in Week 10 or Week 11 but not both. I could also see the Lions winning this game and people going ‘Wow, they would’ve beaten the Eagles last year!’ … which totally isn’t how that works.

EAGLES LOSE: 7-3

Week 12 – at Dallas Cowboys

Prior to last season, the Eagles hadn’t swept the Cowboys since 2011. It’s just not something that happens very often. A split is a safe bet. Though perhaps I’m giving too much credit to a team with a projected win total set at 7.5 games.

EAGLES LOSE: 7-4

Week 13 – vs. Chicago Bears

I really wasn’t impressed by what I saw out of Caleb Williams last year. Maybe he’ll be better in Year 2. Chicago hiring Ben Johnson certainly serves to help him. I’m not ready to give da Bears da benefit of da doubt.

EAGLES WIN: 8-4

Week 14 – at Los Angeles Chargers

Jim Harbaugh’s Bolts play a pretty specific brand of football: Har-ball. It’s similar to the Eagles’ offensive approach last year in terms of emphasizing the run and limiting turnovers at all costs (Justin Herbert only had THREE interceptions last season). Of course, they didn’t have the talent that the Eagles did. And they still don’t have more than Philly does. The Eagles will win this game in grind-it-out fashion.

EAGLES WIN: 9-4

Week 15 – vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Chip Kelly’s first return to Lincoln Financial Field in front of an Eagles crowd since being fired in 2015. I like Fangio’s defense to shut down his offense. Howie Roseman is going to lead the pregame huddle.

EAGLES WIN: 10-4

Week 16 – at Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels is really good. He could conceivably be the best quarterback in this division for years to come. That being said, I think the Commanders could be due for a harsh reality check in 2025. Progress isn’t always linear; just ask the 2024 Houston Texans who were preseason darlings after CJ Stroud’s rookie season. And I don’t love how Washington focused on adding a lot of older players (who might be past their prime) this offseason.

EAGLES WIN: 11-4

Week 17 – at Buffalo Bills

Difficult to bet against Josh Allen in this situation.

EAGLES LOSE: 11-5

Week 18 – vs. Washington Commanders

That’s right, I have the Eagles SWEEPING the Commanders in 2025. Gotta lean into my take that they’re being overrated.

EAGLES WIN: 12-5

FINAL RECORD: 12-5

The Eagles’ schedule is not easy. Certainly not as easy as it was last year.

And the Birds will very likely be worse in 2025 than they were in 2024. There’s mostly room to go down after being so awesome last season.

But they still have a lot of talent. And talent was a huge driver of their success en route to winning a Super Bowl.

PLAYOFFS?!

It’s hard to predict a Super Bowl repeat for the Eagles when they haven’t even completed a division repeat since 2004. The feeling here is that this will be like 2018 where they make a run in the playoffs but ultimately come up a little short.
