PFF named UDFA’s to watch for each NFL team, including Willie Lampkin for the Rams
Pro Football Focus (PFF) released a list by Ben Cooper outlining one undrafted free agent to watch for each of the 32 NFL teams.
For the Los Angeles Rams, PFF named North Carolina center Willie Lampkin as someone worth keeping an eye on. Here’s what they had to say:
Size concerns likely pushed Lampkin out of the 2025 NFL Draft, although he proved at the Senior Bowl that he could hold his own against players such as first-rounder Walter Nolen.
Lampkin ranked first in PFF overall grade (84.8) and PFF pass-blocking grade (88.8) among Power Four guards in 2024, and while his NFL position is to be determined, the Rams have room for young players to step up behind their starting offensive linemen.
Lampkin is a size outlier in a way we’ve never seen
At 5-10, 279 lbs., Lampkin is far from the NFL prototype at center. He’s a former wrestler with outstanding college production; however, the NFL Draft is all about projections and he likely fell below minimize thresholds that teams set for prospects.
Still, it’s one thing to go undrafted. It’s another thing to prove every team wrong and show that you belong at the professional level. Lampkin has adept movement skills, and I could see him used often as a sixth offensive lineman or even as a fullback in goal line packages. He’s someone I’d find ways to make useful and get him involved as much as possible.
I’m sorry Willie Lampkin, I was unfamiliar with your game. Biggest outlier size wise there’s been, but his tape is legit. If he was 6’3 300 he would be a 1st round pick. Curious to see if he can overcome the massive size disadvantage but he is so damn competitive and tough.

Willie Lampkin, who measured 5’10 at the Senior Bowl, has an inch larger wingspan than Will Campbell, who is 6’6.

Was Shaun Dolac snubbed by PFF?
Dolac is someone I was high on throughout the draft process. He’s was one of the best coverage linebackers in this class from a production standpoint, though major questions remain on his size as well as the level of competition he faced in college at Buffalo.
In my view, Dolac and Lampkin both enter the offseason program with reasonably strong changes to make the roster.
Dolac has an easier climb from a depth chart standpoint, as the only players in front of him are Troy Reeder, Omar Speights, Nate Landman, and fellow rookie Pooh Paul. Elias Neal and Tony Fields are also on the roster.
Lampkin has a tougher battle to make the team. The offseason addition of Coleman Shelton as the starting center moves everyone down a peg. Beaux Limmer, last year’s sixth round pick, is virtually a lock. Dylan McMahon was a draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles and is someone the Rams seem to like. At guard you also have Justin Dedich—who is also undersized but played well in limited opportunities last season—and KT Leveston—a 2024 seventh round selection.
