The Bengals superstar defensive end is looking for a new contract, and rightfully so.
The Cincinnati Bengals are back in the building as the team gears up for summer camps at Paycor Stadium.
What would minicamp and training camp be in Cincinnati without another contract issue with a star player?
This season it is Trey Hendrickson.
Hendrickson recently signed an extension through the 2025 season and has since posted 35 combined sacks in back-to-back seasons.
With the stats speaking for themselves, Hendrickson is looking for a pay raise and extension this offseason.
Fast-forward to today. Hendrickson was present at practice in street clothes to speak with the media about his current situation.
Trey Hendrickson: Every relationship is repairable. Look at Myles Garrett. This is the uncomfortable part of the business side.
“I don’t harbor animosity.”

Hendrickson says Zac Taylor texted him and told him he would be fined if he did not report to the upcoming mandatory camp.
“I can’t control the narratives. The way I feel is not being conveyed. Definitely disappointed, definitely love Cincinnati, so it is just this weird dilemma,” Hendrickson stated.
Hendrickson also stated that he feels every relationship is repairable and even mentioned Myles Garrett’s situation in Cleveland. It is a business.
It is clear that Hendrickson wants to be in Cincinnati. He deserves to be paid. Hopefully, this all works out before mandatory camp so the team is at full strength.
