Welcome to the FanDuel New York Giants betting angle, Week 2 edition! Each week, I’m going to give you my three favorite FanDuel bets for that week’s New York Giants game. The Giants fell to the Vikings 28-6 in embarrassing fashion in their home opener and look to get back on track against the Commanders, who got pasted 38-20 in Tampa Bay. It’s a division game and nobody wants to start the season 0-2, so there’s plenty at stake. Good weather is forecast in the nation’s capital for the Sunday, 1 p.m. game, so there’s no need to worry about that in analyzing the FanDuel slate. FanDuel has the Commanders favored by 1.5 points, with a game total of 42.5 points.

I went 1-2 last week, but came within one Malik Nabers catch (actually, half of a catch, if there was such a thing) of going 2-1.
There are some interesting trends coming in. The Giants are 6-1 ATS in their last seven against the Commanders, and the Commanders are riding a seven-game losing streak at home and a six-game losing streak within the division. The Giants won both meetings last season. With all of that said, I’m avoiding the sides and spread this week. This game is a stay-away for me, other than some props.
OK, let’s get to this week’s picks. All lines and odds are as of Friday morning, September 13. And don’t worry about that Friday the 13th bad luck thing. We’re here to win.
1. Jayden Daniels OVER 51.5 rushing yards (-114). This looks too easy. Daniels set an NFL record (for QBs) last week by tucking and running 16 times in his NFL debut. Those 16 carries netted 88 yards. I’m sure the Commanders’ coaching staff wants him to run less, but that’s who he is, and I don’t see him moving the chains with passes on a consistent basis. He probably only needs eight or nine rushing attempts to hit this total. Take the over.
2. Terry McLaurin UNDER 3.5 receptions (+112). McLaurin only caught two balls (on just four targets) in Week 1. Daniels only attempted 24 passes (with 11 of those targets being aimed at his WRs) in a game the Commanders were losing, and often took off if he didn’t find his first read right away. I don’t see the passing volume changing all that quickly. The Commanders aren’t deep at wide receiver and I don’t think the Giants will give Daniels easy throws to McLaurin. Four catches feels like a tall order, and I like this bet at plus-money.
3. Wan’Dale Robinson OVER 4.5 receptions. There are a few reasons to like this prop. Robinson served as Daniel Jones’s safety blanket against the Vikings and led all Giants in both targets (12) and receptions (6) last week. With Darius Slayton (concussion) and Malik Nabers (knee) both listed as questionable, Robinson’s 68% snap share from Week 1 could go up if either of those receivers is out or limited. Another positive is the generous defense he’s facing, which ranked at or near the bottom of the NFL last year in most passing categories, and got torched by Baker Mayfield and his wide receivers in Week 1. Robinson went over this total six times last season, and he’s a good bet to do so on Sunday.
Those are the picks for Week 2. Good luck with your wagers!
