Says the resolved disagreements with “professional conversations”
New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll on Monday downplayed reports that there is a disagreement in the organization over what to do with the No. 3 overall pick.
During a Monday Zoom call that marked the beginning of Phase 1 of the Giants’ offseason program, Daboll insisted that the Giants’ decision-makers are aligned entering Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday.
Daboll said there are always going to be disagreements, but that the communication is always “excellent.”
“It’s OK to disagree,” he said. “You’re not going to be disagreeable.”
Daboll said those disagreements are resolved with “professional conversations.”
As both he and GM Joe Schoen have done several times since coming to the Giants in 2022, Daboll reiterated that he likes the team’s evaluation process.
“It’s like getting ready for a game. People are going to throw ideas out, plays, that are not necessarily what you had in mind that you’re going to be open to,” he said. “Joe and I listen to a number of people and at the end of the day pick the player we think will be best suited for the New York Giants.”
On Thursday night, we find out who that is going to be.
