The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, starting a three-day college prospect selection process. Teams across the league will be looking to add the best talent available while filling roster needs. Which it comes to the Miami Dolphins, there are several holes on their roster which need to be filled – and multiple ways the team can choose to address them.
Miami holds ten picks a few days before the Draft. Those include five of their original picks (Rounds 1, 2, 4, 5, and 7), along with two picks they received in previous trades and three compensatory picks for free agents lost last year. The Dolphins are in a position where they could look to move up or down the draft board, using assets to go get a player they really like or fall back and add additional picks.
Whenever Miami makes their first pick – currently the 13th overall selection – which position will they target first? Our SB Nation Reacts poll, brought to us by our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook, asked that question earlier this week and you responded.
Current odds for Dolphins’ first drafted player
When we posted our poll earlier in the week, we included the FanDuel odds for each position group. At that time, offensive line and cornerback were tied at +175, followed by defensive line/edge at +400, safety at +700, wide receiver at +850, and quarterback at +3500. Since then, the line has moved, pushing offensive line as the standalone favorite.

As for our results, clearly Dolphins fans are leaning toward cornerback as the pick the team needs to make. With recent news that the team and Jalen Ramsey have agreed to consider trade options for the veteran cornerback, selecting a top college prospect early in the Draft may become a necessity for Miami.
