The first round is coming to a close in our 2025 Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft. While there is still a full round left in our mock, this is the end of our individual picks post. After this, we’ll run through all the picks that run up to the Detroit Lions’ pick at 60 overall, let Erik Schlitt explain his pick for Detroit, and then reveal the final four picks after that.
The Philadelphia Eagles hold the final pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and commenter Levy’s Beard is making the selection for the Super Bowl champs. Before we get into the pick, make sure you catch up on the previous 31 picks in our mock with our 2025 POD Community Mock Draft tracker.
With the 32nd pick in the POD Community Mock Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select…
Shavon Revel, cornerback out of East Carolina.
Here’s Levy’s Beard with the explanation:
I had my eye on Michigan tight end Colston Loveland at this spot, but he came off the board much earlier than expected. With top offensive talent drying up, I turned to defense and found a prospect who fits both the roster and the philosophy in Philadelphia.
Revel stands at 6-foot-2, which is the same as recently departed Darius Slay. Like Slay, Revel pairs ideal size with smooth movement skills and natural instincts in coverage. He’s physical at the line of scrimmage, tracks the ball well, and shows impressive poise for a young corner. Before suffering an ACL injury in 2024, Revel was one of the most consistent man-coverage defenders in college football.
This is not a safe pick—but the Eagles have shown they’re willing to take calculated risks on elite talent, as they did with Jalen Carter. Revel’s medicals will be key, but the upside is hard to ignore. His physical tools and tape suggest a high ceiling, and if he bounces back to full health, the Eagles may have landed a future CB1 at the end of the first round.
With veterans like Slay and James Bradberry now gone, the need for young, starting-caliber corners is real. Revel could be the next in line.
