Phinsider Question Of The Day: What’s Happening Edition

As a fan who tries to follow everything with our Miami Dolphins, I was left confused by yesterday’s news. For whatever reason, Star Dolphins corner Jalen Ramsey has “agreed” to a trade with the front office. General Manager Chris Grier verified the report yesterday, but would not give any other information as to why this “agreement” had been made in the first place. Either way, the team already had a massive hole at corner, which is why it was assumed to be one of the team’s top selections in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft. Now it seems the team will have two massive holes to fill at the same position.

It’s hard not to compare this with the Tyreek Hill issue, which has caused a constant stream of rumors that he will also be traded at some point this offseason. It’s also hard not to think back to the fact that both players are coming off an offseason where their contracts were reworked to bring them more in line with the top-paid players at their position. Each player could easily be considered the top star on their side of the ball, and both have signaled that they would like to be elsewhere, even if one of them now disputes that. I now have this fear that it’s possibly not just them. Maybe they are both just being diva, and by definition, that makes them difficult players that never seem happy, or perhaps it’s something more significant or deeper going on within the team’s roster and their overall happiness being a Miami Dolphins player.

So this evening’s PQOTD is: What is your take on what is going on with the team right now? Do you believe there are deeper issues we have not been told about? If so, is the issue with the coaching staff, the front office, or both, or are these two players just divas, and we are better off without them on the roster?
