AFC East divisional showdown as the Buffalo Bills visit the Miami Dolphins
We now start with the divisional Thursday night football matchups, as the Buffalo Bills (+ 120) make the trip to sunny Miami to visit the Dolphins (- 142). Both teams are 1-0 and looking to begin establishing a lead in the competitive AFC East, as the Patriots look like a surprising tough out and the Jets have plenty of talent and now Aaron Rodgers back at quarterback. The Dolphins open the game as 2.5-point favourites, and the O/U for points is at 48.5 according to FanDuel’s Sportsbook ().
The Bills escaped a late game comeback attempt by the Arizona Cardinals, led by a brilliant performance by starting quarterback Josh Allen who completed over 75% of his passes and finished the game with 4 touchdowns and one turnover. The Cardinals came really close to pulling off the comeback on the final drive, but in the end the Bills got the key stop on 4th down.
The Dolphins erased a 14-point early deficit and kicker Jason Sanders made a 52-yard field goal as time expired to escape with a close win against the Jaguars. Tua and the passing offense looked explosive once again, but #2 wide receiver Jaylen Waddle had to leave the game with concussion symptoms and the running game struggled to get any sort of traction.
I like the Bills more than the Dolphins on this one mainly because I think Josh Allen is a much better quarterback than Tua Tagovailoa, and that probably missing Jaylen Waddle will allow the Bills’ secondary to key on Tyreek Hill. In the end, this should be a close affair definitely worth tuning in.
