The 25-year-old quarterback prospect recently wrapped up a visit to Indianapolis.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough has recently wrapped up a pre-draft visit with the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts were not exaggerating when they said they’d emphasize adding competition to the roster, particularly at the quarterback position. After recently meeting with Shough, Indy will host Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers today for a separate pre-draft visit.
Tyler Shough (6’5”, 225 lbs) is a peculiar case study of a prospect. At 25 years old, Shough certainly has a wealth of experience at his disposal. The 2018 recruit has been through just about all you can as a college player — an extra year of eligibility due to COVID-19 plus multiple season-ending injuries resulting in more eligibility — the Oregon, Texas Tech, and Louisville product became a collegiate journeyman of sorts and now is primed to be drafted later this month after seven years at the college level.
In his final season, Shough threw 244 completions on 389 attempts, totaling 3195 passing yards, 23 passing touchdowns, and 6 interceptions.
The experience, maturity, and arm talent are what the Colts have coveted in Shough as a prospect, so don’t count out this addition via a middle-to-late-round draft selection. Although he has been on the receiving end of consistent draft hype throughout the pre-draft process, the age and durability concerns are real.
Again, Colts general manager Chris Ballard was not hiding the team’s plans to add competition to its quarterback room. Although Indianapolis has already spent a decent penny to bring in now-veteran quarterback Daniel Jones, the QB3 spot on the depth chart remains second-year quarterback Jason Bean’s until it isn’t.
