NFL media makes their picks, and final score predictions on the Dolphins vs. Bills.
One of the most anticipated matchups amongst the Miami Dolphins faithful is already here. The Buffalo Bills are in town for Thursday Night Football on Prime, and it’s shaping up to be a dogfight, not just amongst division rivals but bitter rivals with no love lost.
The Dolphins will get their first test against a team and quarterback that many across the league tout as one of the best, and a golden opportunity for the Dolphins to make believers out of the media with a statement win.
Adversely, the Bills have been Superbowl contenders for the last three years, but their roster got knocked down a peg after the departure of Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Jordan Poyer, and Tre’Davious White. The roster shakeup and Matt Milano’s season-ending injury have given a heavier load for Bills quarterback Josh Allen to bear.
Pushed by the media’s speculation of their Superbowl window closing, another blowout win against Miami could secure themselves as a contender again.
A lot is riding on this game. Even though it’s only week two, I’d expect it to be taken as seriously as a playoff game for both sides and be a close matchup.
Unfortunately, since this is a Thursday night game instead of Sunday, there’s a limited amount of predictions, but here’s everything we could find from the usual suspects along with our Phinsider’s staff:
CBS:
- Pete Prisco – Bills over Dolphins
- Kyle Long – Bills over Dolphins
The Phinsider:
- Josh Houtz – Dolphins 24, Bills 23
- Jake Mendel – Dolphins 24, Bills 17
- Marek Brave – Dophins 23, Bills 20
- Sumeet Jena – Bills 31, Dolphins 27
- Nick Sabatino – Dolphins 24, Bills 20
- James McKinney – Dolphins 28, Bills
USA Today:
- Tyler Dragon: Dolphins 24, Bills 21
- Lorenzo Reyes: Bills 23, Dolphins 20
- Richard Morin: Dolphins 24, Bills 16
- Jordan Mendoza: Dolphins 30, Bills 26
Fox Sports:

ESPN:
- Andrew Hawkins – Dolphins over Bills
SI:
- Iain MacMillan – Dolphins over Bills
- Peter Dewey – Bills 24, Dolphins 20
I want to say there is a consensus pick here, but it’s completely split between these two teams, and that’s a pretty good indication that we’re in for a classic division battle.
Vegas has the Dolphins at (-3) at home, so that’s probably a game I’d stay away from and enjoy if I were a betting man. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
