Bengals vs. Chiefs Injury Report: Tanner Hudson and Logan Wilson get DNP

Bengals vs. Chiefs Injury Report: Tanner Hudson and Logan Wilson get DNP

There were a couple new names on the Bengals injury report this week.

The Cincinnati Bengals hit the practice field on Wednesday after their abysmal Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots. In just four days, the Bengals will take the field in Kansas City to face off against the Chiefs, who are coming off two consecutive Super Bowl wins.

The Bengals were without Tee Higgins, Kris Jenkins, Amarius Mims, and McKinnley Jackson in Week 1 due to several injuries, while Ja’Marr Chase was limited due to illness and contract issues. The missing or limited players weren’t to blame for the team’s Week 1 loss, but they didn’t help.

On Wednesday, the Bengals had several players on Wednesday’s injury report. Some familiar faces and some new faces. Joe Burrow was back on the injury report for his right wrist injury from Week 11 of the 2023 season, but he was a full participant in practice.

Wide receiver Tee Higgins was back on the injury report with a hamstring injury and did not practice.

Kris Jenkins, who is still nursing his thumb after it required surgery, joined Higgins on the DNP list.

Two new additions to that list were tight end Tanner Hudson and linebacker Logan Wilson, both for knee injuries. Hudson played a large role in the Bengals’ Week 1 loss, as he lost a fumble before he crossed the goal line. The Patriots’ following drive resulted in a field goal, so Hudson’s fumble caused a 10-point swing.

Wilson led the Bengals in tackles in Week 1 and was one of PFF’s highest-graded linebackers from the NFL’s opening week.

On the plus side, Amarius Mims was limited again and seems to be ramping up. It’s unclear when he’ll see action, but the positive movement is positive movement. Defensive tackle BJ Hill is the last name on the injury report. A knee injury limited him.

As for the Chiefs, their first Week 2 injury report had the same names as their Week 1 injury report. It included wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, linebacker Nick Bolton, defensive end Michael Danna, safety Sazeeh Johnson, nose tackle Derrick Nnadi and defensive tackle Mike Pennel.

Everyone, with the exception of Brown, who did not practice, practiced in full for the Chiefs, and all are on track to play.

Continue following for updates on each team’s injury report throughout the week.
