Will Burton get a bigger role vs. the Chiefs with Higgins trending toward being out?
Earlier this week, Adam Schefter suggested that Tee Higgins was unlikely to play this week when the Bengals face the Chiefs.
Before Wednesday’s practice, head coach Zac Taylor said that Higgins was making good progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury suffered last Thursday.
However, Higgins was not able to practice on Wednesday, although he did do some work on the rehab field.
Zac Taylor said Tee Higgins is “making good progress” and is officially day-to-day.
No word on his practice availability this week.

If Higgins is out again, the Bengals will need to seriously consider giving Jermaine Burton more snaps this week. The third-round rookie played just four snaps in last week’s loss to the Patriots, a game in which the Bengals rarely looked to push the ball downfield, an area in which Burton thrives.
Here’s what Taylor had to say when asked about Burton on Wednesday.

If that’s true, then the Bengals need to give Burton a chance to show what he’s capable of in a regular-season game, especially since the hope is that he’ll replace Higgins when the latter likely departs in the 2025 offseason.
