NFL Mock Draft 2025: Eagles 7-round simulation, Version 2.0

How would you grade this projection?

Welcome to this year’s Mock Simulation Series! Each week, I will run a simulation of the 2025 NFL draft using the Pro Football Focus Draft Simulator. With a few days of free agency behind us, here is a new way the 2025 draft can shake out!

Round 1, Pick 32 (for the Super Bowl Winner): Emeka Egbuka, Wide Receiver, Ohio State

Okay yeah yeah I know but HEAR ME OUT… This would be sick. Seriously, the third wide receiver position has been a hole the last few years and getting a player of this caliber in there would be a massive boost to the passing game. The Eagles postseason dominance papered over how anemic the passing game was at times last year and getting more weapons for Jalen Hurts would change that. Imagine a passing game that really punishes teams for keying in on AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Round 2, Pick 64: Josaiah Stewart, Edge Defender, Michigan

The Eagles will need to find a way to replace Josh Sweat’s production. Obviously the hope is Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt take a big step while maybe Bryce Huff can return to 2023 form. Those are big bets, and adding a small but speedy pass rusher like Josaiah Stewart gives the Eagles more talent for their young defense.

Round 3, Pick 96: Andrew Mukuba, Safety, Texas

The Eagles might need to draft a safety earlier than this with CJ Gardner Johnson now on the Texans. Andrew Mukuba is an intelligent, rangy safety who can play deep or near the line for the Eagles. This would be a value pick in the third.

Round 4, Pick 129: Mitchell Evans, Tight End, Notre Dame

It’s to be seen whether or not Dallas Goedert gets traded this offseason, but even if he stays the Eagles need quality depth at tight end. Mitchell Evans was arguably underutilized given his talents and his best football is still ahead of him.

Round 5, Pick 162: Tonka Hemingway, Defensive Lineman, South Carolina

The Eagles are definitely looking closely at this defensive line class given the players they’ve lost this offseason. I love Tonka Hemingway as a late round interior pass rusher who could be developed into an impact player.

Round 5, Pick 165: Logan Brown, Offensive Lineman, Kansas

Logan Brown is a big, strong offensive lineman who could play at tackle or guard. Classic Day 3 Eagles pick.

Round 5, Pick 166: Kobe King, Linebacker, Penn State

With Nakobe Dean on the mend, the Eagles might have some competition at the linebacker spot next to Zach Baun. Dean is the best option when healthy, but he has yet to prove he can stay on the field in his short NFL career. Jeremiah Trotter Junior looked good in limited time last year, but more competition is needed. Kobe King is short but extremely well built linebacker who LOVES hitting in the run game. I can imagine him making an impression early on.

Round 5 Pick, Pick 169: Kyle McCord, Quarterback, Syracuse

This is the stupid pick I NEED to happen. Not only is it about bringing a Philly kid home, but Kyle McCord was HOOPING at Syracuse last year and looks like an ideal backup QB prospect. With Kenny Pickett off to Cleveland, McCord could push Dorian Thompson Robinson for the QB3 spot. The Eagles previously interviewed McCord’s position coach for their QB coach opening before hiring Scot Loeffler.
