Bengals attend Georgia pro day

It was interesting to see who attended it from the Bengals.

It is always interesting to see what pro days the Cincinnati Bengals attend in the lead-up to the NFL Draft.

The most important information to glean from it is often who the Bengals choose to send to each pro day.

For the recent Georgia Bulldogs pro day, the Bengals reportedly sent two representatives for the team.

The two coaches from the Bengals that were rumored or reported to be at the Georgia pro day were offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher and new offensive line coach Scott Peters.

Peters is especially interesting as all three of Georgia’s interior offensive linemen from 2024 are in this draft. The most notable are Tate Ratledge and Jared Wilson, who could be candidates for the Bengals’ second or third-round picks.

There are also a few more players who could be options on Day 3 at the skill positions. Trevor Etienne, Ben Yurosek, and Arian Smith. None are considered to be top prospects, but they could be contributors through the draft or brought in as free agents. The likely biggest reason the two Bengals coaches were there, though, was for the Georgia interior offensive line.

It was an offensive line that also happened to play alongside Amarius Mims before the Bengals drafted him in the 2024 NFL Draft. Mims has looked good so far, so maybe the Bengals are looking to dip back into that well again.

On the defensive side of the ball, there are also quite a few prospects the Bengals could have been keeping an eye on. In first round consideration alone, the Bengals may consider defensive end Mykel Williams, linebacker/defensive end Jalon Walker, and safety Malaki Starks.

After them, there is also linebacker Smael Mondon Jr., who is more of an early Day 3 pick, and Nazir Stackhouse, who the Bengals are likely not interested in after signing TJ Slaton as he profiles as more of a nose tackle.

Overall, there are tons of prospects the Bengals could be interested in during the Georgia Pro Day. The most interesting thing is that the Bengals seemingly sent two offensive coaches when in terms of first round prospects, Georgia really only has them on the defensive side. Hopefully, the Bengals saw something they liked from the Georgia OL and can get one of them to help protect Burrow in 2025.
